What is BONFLOX Tablet used for?

BONFLOX Tablet is used for the treatment of the following conditions:

  • Periodontitis
  • Diarrhoea
  • Dysentery
  • Gingivitis
  • Pelvic inflammatory disease

BONFLOX Tablet may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by the doctor.

How does BONFLOX Tablet work?

In BONFLOX Tablet, Ofloxacin belongs to the class of drugs called broad-spectrum antibiotics. This drug acts by blocking certain bacterial enzymes and inhibiting their function. Thus, it helps in inhibiting the bacterial cell division and propagation.

Ornidazole belongs to the class of drugs called imidazole derivatives. The drug acts by binding to certain regions of bacterial DNA and inhibits the bacterial protein synthesis, which is necessary for its survival.

How to take BONFLOX Tablet?

The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take BONFLOX Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.

Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Take BONFLOX Tablet tablets with or without food.

If you miss a dose of BONFLOX Tablet, take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
