Introduction About BETADINE SURGICAL SCRUB 7.5% SOLUTION
Betadine Surgical Scrub Solution is an Antiseptic agent, effective against bacteria, fungi, yeast, protozoa, viruses. It is used on the skin before surgery. It contains Povidone-Iodine as an active ingredient.
Povidone-Iodine is an antiseptic agent, which has a quick and effective germicidal effect on a wide range microorganism, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi and other microbes.
Always use Betadine Surgical Scrub Solution as advised by your physician. It is for external use only. For Pre-operative scrubbing and washing of hands: Wet hands and forearms with water. Pour about 5 ml of Betadine Surgical Scrub Solution on the palm and rub the same thoroughly over the entire area for about 2 minutes. Use a brush if desired. Add a little water to develop copious suds. Finally rinse thoroughly under running water.
For Pre-operative cleansing: Apply Betadine Surgical Scrub 7.5% Scrub (1 ml is sufficient to cover an area of 20-30 sq. in.) on the pre-shaved and wet skin and rub the same thoroughly for a minimum of 2 minutes. The lather so developed may be rinsed off with sterile gauze saturated with water. The area may then be painted with Betadine Surgical Scrub Solution and allowed to dry.
