What AZYNAMIC MF is used for?

  • It is used for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhoea and in the relief of mild to moderate pain associated with menorrhagia in women

Talk to your doctor, if you:

  • are allergic to any other ingredients of this medicine
  • have a stomach ulcer or bleeding
  • have severe problems with your kidney or liver
  • suffer from severe heart failure or had a major heart surgery
  • have or have ever had a blood clot in your blood vessels (venous or arterial thrombosis)
  • have a history of bronchial asthma
  • have systemic lupus erythematosus
  • have Steven Johnson Syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis
  • have abnormal bleeding between your periods
  • have irregular or prolonged periods
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  •  Do not drive or operate any machines while taking this medicine since it may cause dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue and visual disturbances

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • streptokinase
  • oral contraceptives
  • anticoagulants (medicines that help prevent blood clots)
  • anti-depressants (medicines that help relieve the symptoms of depression)
  • ACE inhibitors and angiotensin-II-receptor antagonists (medicines used to lower the blood pressure)
  • tacrolimus and Aminoglycosides (antibiotics)
  • lithium
  • cardiac glycosides like Digoxin
  • corticosteroids (like betamethasone, prednisone, prednisolone)
  • medicines for diabetes (high blood sugar)
  • methotrexate
  • mifepristone (used to bring about an abortion during pregnancy)
  • probenecid
  • quinolone antibiotics (like ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, sparfloxacin)
  • zidovudine
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Swallow the medicine with a glass of water
  • Do not crush or chew the medicine

If you take more AZYNAMIC MF

  • If you take more of this medicine, talk to your doctor or go to your nearest hospital immediately
  • Symptoms of overdose: sickness, dizziness or light-headedness

If you forget to take AZYNAMIC MF

  • If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it, however if it is nearly time for the next dose skip the missed dose
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

If you stop taking AZYNAMIC MF

  •  Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells to do so

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Very Rare
  • problems with your eyesight (bleeding, loss of vision)
  • difficulty in breathing or dizziness
  • blood clot in your blood vessels
  • fluid retention/build-up of fluid in the body
  • fluctuations in blood pressure
  • diarrhoea
  • bleeding, perforation and peptic ulcers and dark sticky faeces (as a result of internal bleeding)
  • nausea and vomiting
  • flatulence
  • constipation
  • indigestion
  • abdominal pain
  • inflamed pancrease
  • elevation of liver enzymes, decrease in bile flow
  • increased blood glucose
  • convulsions, confusion, depression, hallucinations, nervousness
  • itchy, red or swollen skin
  • ear pain, tinnitus (ringing in ear), vertigo
  • asthma
