What is AZIMACRO 200MG SUSPENSION used for?
AZIMACRO 200MG SUSPENSION is used in children to treat infections caused by bacteria and other micro-organisms which include chest, throat, and nasal infections (such as bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, sore throat and sinusitis). It is also used to treat ear infections (such as acute otitis media) and skin & soft tissue infections (such as an abscess or boil) in affected children which is also indicated for use to treat sexually transmitted diseases (caused by organisms such as chlamydia trachomatis/ Neisseria gonorrhoea) in the affected child.
How does AZIMACRO 200MG SUSPENSION work?
AZIMACRO 200MG SUSPENSION works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis (essential for the bacteria to grow) that results in its destruction thus preventing its growth and spread of infection in affected individuals.
What are the most common side effects of taking AZIMACRO 200MG SUSPENSION?
The most common side effects of administering AZIMACRO 200MG SUSPENSION in children are stomach cramps, nausea, diarrhoea, flatulence, dizziness, headache, skin rash, and/or itching. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms become worse in the child.
What do I do if I forgot to administer AZIMACRO 200MG SUSPENSION to the child?
If you forget to administer AZIMACRO 200MG SUSPENSION, then administer the medicine as soon as you can. Have the child take the next dose at the right time. Do not double the dose to make up for a forgotten dose in the child.
What happens to the child if a high dose AZIMACRO 200MG SUSPENSION is administered?
If a child or anyone else accidentally takes too much of AZIMACRO 200MG SUSPENSION, then consult and inform your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital to manage overdose symptoms.
