ARACHITOL 3LAC INJECTION contains Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) which belongs to the group of medicines called Vitamin D analogs. It is used for the prophylaxis of vitamin D deficiency symptoms due to malabsorption (Ex. caused by chronic intestinal diseases, scarred alteration of the liver tissue (biliary hepatocirrhosis), extended stomach or intestines resections) or if an oral therapy is impossible or ineffective.
Along with this treatment, your doctor might advise you to eat and drink foods that are rich in calcium. Your doctor might want to take certain blood tests prior to the treatment to understand the existing condition.
ARACHITOL 3LAC INJECTION is not recommended for use if you have high levels of calcium in the blood (hypercalcemia) or urine (hypercalciuria), tend to form kidney stones having calcium, suffer from hereditary dysfunction of the excretion of phosphate (pseudohypoparathyroidism).
Before receiving ARACHITOL 3LAC INJECTION inform your doctor if your kidney excretion of calcium and phosphate is impaired, your mobility is reduced (Ex. due to a cast), suffer from sarcoidosis (a multisystem chronic inflammatory condition which can affect your lungs, heart and kidneys).
ARACHITOL 3LAC INJECTION is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any unusual symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

ARACHITOL 3LAC INJECTION helps the body to absorb calcium and phosphorus by increasing their absorption from the gut and reducing the amount removed by the kidneys and is a fat-soluble vitamin.
ARACHITOL 3LAC INJECTION will be given to you by your doctor or a nurse as an injection into a muscle (intramuscularly). Your doctor will decide the right dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.
Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects while receiving ARACHITOL 3LAC INJECTION:
ARACHITOL 3LAC INJECTION is not recommended for use in pregnant women or women planning to have a baby as an overdosage of this medicine can lead to physical and mental retardation as well as to congenital heart and eye diseases of the child. Consult your doctor before receiving it.
ARACHITOL 3LAC INJECTION is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before receiving it.
ARACHITOL 3LAC INJECTION does not affect your ability to drive or use machines. Consult your doctor for advice.
ARACHITOL 3LAC INJECTION is not recommended for use in patients with kidney problems who tend to form kidney stones with calcium. ARACHITOL 3LAC INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with impaired kidney excretion of calcium and phosphate. Consult your doctor before receiving it.
Do not receive ARACHITOL 3LAC INJECTION if you are allergic to Cholecalciferol or any other ingredients of this medicine.

Overdosage:
As ARACHITOL 3LAC INJECTION is given by your doctor or nurse it’s unlikely for you to have an overdose. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any unusual symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, severe constipation, loss of appetite, weakness, headache, muscle and joint pain, muscle weakness as well as persistent drowsiness, azotemia (increased nitrogen concentration in blood), excessive thirst and increased urge to urinate, dehydration.
