    Introduction About ALOJA M TABLET

ALOJA M TABLET is used to manage diabetes mellitus when it cannot be adequately controlled by diet, exercise, and other anti-diabetic medicines such as metformin alone, insulin alone, or metformin and pioglitazone taken together. It is a combination of Alogliptin and Metformin, which belong to the group of medicines called Antidiabetic agents. It works by increasing the levels of insulin in the body after a meal, decreasing the amount of sugar made in the liver, and helping to control blood glucose levels effectively.

During management with ALOJA M TABLET, your doctor will check your kidney function at least once a year or more frequently if you are elderly and/or have worsening kidney function.

ALOJA M TABLET is not recommended for use if you have severe breathing difficulties, severely reduced kidney function, liver disease, or if you recently had a heart attack or have severe circulatory problems, including shock. Consult your doctor before taking it.

ALOJA M TABLET is not recommended for use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before taking it. ALOJA M TABLET is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years due to the lack of data in these patients. Consult your doctor before taking it.

The most common side effects of taking ALOJA M TABLET are stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.

    Uses Of ALOJA M TABLET

    How ALOJA M TABLET Works

ALOJA M TABLET effectively controls blood glucose levels, where alogliptin works by increasing the levels of insulin in the body after a meal and helps decrease the blood glucose levels. Metformin also helps to lower blood glucose by decreasing the amount of sugar made in the liver and helping insulin work more effectively.

Other symptoms may include general itching and a feeling of heat, especially affecting the scalp, mouth, throat, palms of hands, and soles of feet
    • Signs of bullous pemphigoid, such as blistering of the skin
    • Symptoms of lactic acidosis include vomiting, abdominal pain, muscle cramps, a general feeling of not being well with severe tiredness, difficulty breathing, and reduced body temperature and heartbeat

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Diarrhea

Drink plenty of clear fluids, like water, diluted fruit juices, or oral rehydration solutions, to stay hydrated. Avoid caffeinated or alcoholic beverages, as they can worsen dehydration. Gradually take bland, low-fiber foods like bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast to help firm up stools. Probiotics, found in yogurt or supplements, may help restore the balance of gut bacteria. Practice good hand hygiene to prevent the spread of infection. Consult your doctor if diarrhea worsens.

    Headache

Ensure adequate fluid intake, as dehydration can cause headaches. Maintain a consistent sleep schedule, aiming for 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night. Eat balanced meals at regular intervals to avoid blood sugar fluctuations that can trigger headaches. Practice relaxation techniques such as meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises to reduce stress levels. Engage in regular physical exercise, which can help reduce the frequency and severity of headaches. Apply a cold pack or warm compress to the forehead or neck to alleviate pain. Consult your doctor if a headache persists.

    Hypoglycemia

Consume fast-acting carbohydrates such as glucose tablets, fruit juice, regular soda, or candy. Check your blood sugar level using a glucose meter after 15 minutes. If it remains low, consume another 15 grams of carbohydrates and recheck after another 15 minutes. Once blood sugar levels stabilize, eat a small meal or snack that includes both protein and carbohydrates to prevent further drops. Regularly monitor your blood sugar levels, especially if you have diabetes. Maintain a consistent eating schedule, avoid skipping meals, and carry snacks or glucose tablets for emergencies. If you frequently experience low blood sugar, consult with your doctor.

    Indigestion

Avoid trigger foods such as fatty, spicy, or acidic items. Eating slowly, chewing food thoroughly, and avoiding lying down immediately after meals can improve digestion. Reduce stress through relaxation techniques like meditation, yoga, or deep breathing, which can alleviate symptoms. Maintaining a healthy weight, quitting smoking, and limiting alcohol consumption are also beneficial. Drinking plenty of water helps digestion. Engaging in regular physical activity can help keep the digestive system active and reduce stress, which may improve symptoms. Consult your doctor if indigestion persists.

    Nausea And Vomiting

Stay hydrated with small sips of clear fluids like water, ginger ale, or electrolyte solutions. Avoid consuming large meals; instead, opt for bland, easy-to-digest foods. Ginger, peppermint, or chamomile tea may help soothe the stomach. Rest in a comfortable position, preferably with your head elevated, to ease symptoms. Consult your doctor if nausea and vomiting persist.

    Skin rash Or Itching

Keep the affected area clean and dry and avoid scratching to prevent further irritation or infection. Apply calamine lotion to help reduce itching and inflammation. Applying cool compresses and wearing loose, breathable clothing can also provide relief. If the rash persists, consult your doctor.

    Stomach Pain

Avoid spicy or fatty foods, caffeine, or alcohol that may exacerbate symptoms. Eat a bland diet consisting of easily digestible foods like rice, bananas, applesauce, and toast. Applying a heating pad or taking a warm bath can also help soothe abdominal muscles and alleviate discomfort. Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated but avoid excessive consumption to prevent further irritation. If stomach pain persists, consult your doctor.
