    What is Admenta 10mg Tablet?

    Admenta 10mg Tablet contains Memantine, an NMDA receptor antagonist used to manage moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease. It works by regulating abnormal brain activity involved in memory and cognition impairment.

    Memantine blocks overactivation of NMDA receptors by glutamate and other chemicals, helping improve memory, thinking, and the ability to perform daily tasks. It slows the progression of cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease.

    Take as prescribed by the doctor, usually starting at 5mg daily. Dose is gradually increased weekly as advised. Take with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Do not stop medication abruptly without medical advice.

    ADMENTA 10MG TABLET should not be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women. It is also not suitable for use in children aged below 18 years. It should be used with caution in the elderly patients.

    Admenta 10mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. Consistency in timing is more important than food intake, so take it the same way every day.

    If a dose is missed, skip it and take the next dose at the usual scheduled time. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one. If you forget doses frequently, consider setting reminders and consult your healthcare provider for additional advice.

    • Inform your doctor if you are taking mental disorder medications such as neuroleptics (thioridazine, chlorpromazine, thiothixene), as these can interact with Admenta.
