INTRODUCTION

ACOTRUST 100MG contains Acotiamide which belongs to the group of medicines called oral gastroprokinetic agent. It is used to treat indigestion, bloating especially after meals and early satiety (state of feeling fed too much) in functional dyspepsia. Functional dyspepsia is a chronic disorder of abnormal movements or sensation in the upper gastrointestinal tract. The symptoms include abdominal pain, bloating (wind), heartburn, sour taste in mouth, excessive burping, nausea, vomiting and an inability to finish meals.

ACOTRUST 100MG increases gastric motility and smooth muscle contractions and relieves from the symptoms of functional dyspepsia. Along with the treatment, your doctor might ask you to take a fibre rich foods like fresh fruit, vegetables and cereals and to drink plenty of water. If required, you can also eat smaller and frequent meals. Try to improve your physical activity by exercising regularly or by going for a walk, which might help to get rid of bloating easily.

This medicine should be taken at least 10 minutes before meals. Do not stop taking this medicine, without consulting your doctor.
