DIY Fruit Facial Regimen
Step 1: Cleansing
Lime Milk Cleanser:
2 tbsp fresh lime zest
2 tbsp raw milk
1 tbsp cucumber zest
Mix the components into a homogeneous liquid
Immerse a cotton ball in it
Swipe the moist cotton ball across the face for 5 minutes to remove grime particles
Wash off with cool water
How It Works:
Lemons are innately acidic and are boosted with powerful skin-lightening properties. Along with cucumber, they cleanse the facial pores, tighten up the bigger ones and provide a calming effect. The addition of raw milk nourishes the skin from deep within and brightens the complexion.
Boil some water and subject your face to steam by covering your head with a towel. This further helps to open up the pores.
Step 2: Exfoliation
Orange Peel -Honey Scrub
2 tbsp orange peel powder (coarse)
1 tbsp honey
2-3 drops of tea tree oil
Whip all the ingredients in a small bowl
Smear it all over the face
Now gradually rub the skin in a circular upward motion for 15-20 minutes
Wash off with lukewarm water
How It Works:
Infused with antioxidants and vitamin C, orange peels help protect the skin from UV damage and reverse the signs of ageing making the skin look more bright and more radiant than ever. While honey nurtures the skin and prevents it from drying up, tea tree oil staves off the growth of bacterial infections and helps prevent acne and pimples.
After exfoliation, use a mixture of ½ ripe mashed banana and a tbsp of honey to massage the face for 20 minutes and then wash off.
Step 3: Application Of Fruit Face Pack
Apple-Curd Fruit Pack
2 tbsp hung curd
2 drops of vitamin E oil
Blend all the ingredients until you get a smooth, soft gooey paste
Apply evenly onto the skin
Allow it to dry completely for half an hour
Wash with cool water and pat dry.
How It Works:
The abundance of vitamin C, powerful antioxidants and polyphenols in apples helps build collagen and safeguard the skin from UV damage and premature ageing. While the presence of flavonoids and tannins in grapes helps in toning and firming the skin while reducing wrinkle formation, curd moisturizes the skin and makes it radiant and smooth. The addition of vitamin E oil reduces and fades spots and blemishes while making it look youthful and gorgeous.
