How Cefpodoxime works
Cefpodoxime is a bactericidal antibiotic. It binds to the bacterial cell wall and interfere with the bacterial cell wall synthesis. This weakens the bacterial cells and causes lysis of the bacteria, leading to bacterial cell death and decrease in spread of infection.

- nausea, vomiting
- fungal infections of vagina and vulva (itching and excess discharge)
- stomach pain, flatulence, loss of appetite
- headache, dizziness
