32.50 ml Paribhadra / Indian coral tree leaf juice – Erythrina variegata
32.50 ml Karanja (Karanji)/ Indian beech leaves juice – Pongamia glabra
32.50 ml Pyaaz / Onion juice - Allium cepa
32.50 ml Madanaghanti juice – Spermacoce articularis
6 g Shatavari kalka/ juice - Asparagus racemosus
172.5 ml Tandulambu / Kanjika (Fermented Rice Liquid) – Oryza sativa
100 ml Coconut oil / Kera Thailam / Nariyal Tel – Coco nucifera
Wash all the herbal ingredients and keep it aside.
Extract fresh juice from onion bulbs and aloe vera leaves.
Grind the shatavari root and leaves to get the kalka or paste.
Take the coconut oil in a large bottom boiler.
Add all the herbal ingredients, juices and pastes to it.
Boil it completely with occasional stirring till only the oil remains and everything has mashed up.
Filter the oil to remove the plant parts.
Pour the oil in a glass bottle and store it in a cool, dry place for future use.
Points To Keep In Mind:
- Coconut oil being the base oil has a tendency to solidify at temperatures below 20°C, hence it is preferable to warm the oil before use.
- Being a potent herbal oil, it tends to exude an unpleasant smell, so try to apply it in the evening or before going off to sleep and keep it overnight and allow the oil to work its magic on the wound.
- It might cause some discomfort if it gets into the eyes, hence be careful while applying the oil near the eyes and open wounds. Wash with cool water in case the oil gets into the eyes.
