Introduction About VINGLYN D 10 TABLET

VINGLYN D 10 TABLET is a combination medication used to manage blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus which is poorly controlled on metformin monotherapy. Along with a healthy diet and regular exercise, it helps improve blood sugar control by enhancing the proper use of insulin, thereby reducing blood sugar levels effectively.

VINGLYN D 10 TABLET can be taken with or without food at any time of the day, but it’s important to take it consistently at the same time each day. The dosage is determined by your doctor, and it’s crucial not to stop taking it without consulting them, as this could lead to increased blood sugar levels and serious complications like kidney damage or vision problems. It works best as part of a comprehensive diabetes management plan, including weight control, as recommended by your doctor.

Common side effects include low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), urinary tract infections, vaginal inflammation, dizziness, tremors, and headaches. Drinking plenty of fluids can help prevent dehydration, and maintaining good hygiene may reduce the risk of genital fungal infections.

Before starting VINGLYN D 10 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver issues, urinary tract infections, or if you are taking diuretics (water pills). Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. Limit alcohol consumption to avoid an increased risk of side effects and monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while on this treatment.

Uses Of VINGLYN D 10 TABLET

How VINGLYN D 10 TABLET Works

VINGLYN D 10 TABLET contains two active ingredients: Dapagliflozin and Vildagliptin, which work together to manage blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes. Dapagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor that reduces blood sugar by blocking the reabsorption of glucose in the kidneys, allowing excess sugar to be removed from the body through urine. This helps lower blood sugar levels, especially fasting glucose, and can also assist in weight management and lowering blood pressure.

Vildagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that enhances the body’s natural hormones involved in blood sugar control. It increases insulin secretion in response to meals and reduces the release of glucagon, a hormone that raises blood sugar. This dual action helps stabilize blood sugar levels after eating and throughout the day, providing effective glycemic control when used alongside a healthy diet and exercise. Together, these components complement each other to improve overall diabetes management.

How to use VINGLYN D 10 TABLET

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Diarrhea

To manage diarrhea at home, follow these steps:

    1. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids, such as water, clear broths, or oral rehydration solutions (ORS), to prevent dehydration. Avoid sugary drinks, caffeine, and alcohol as they may worsen diarrhea.
    2. Eat a Bland Diet: Consume easily digestible foods like bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast (the BRAT diet) to soothe your stomach. Avoid spicy, greasy, or high-fiber foods until your symptoms improve.
    3. Take Probiotics: Yogurt or probiotic supplements can help restore the natural balance of gut bacteria, speeding up recovery.
    4. Avoid Trigger Foods: Steer clear of dairy products, fatty foods, or anything that seems to aggravate your symptoms.
    5. Rest: Give your body time to recover by avoiding strenuous activities and getting enough rest.

If diarrhea persists for more than 2–3 days, is accompanied by severe pain, blood in stool, or signs of dehydration (such as extreme thirst, dry mouth, or dizziness), seek medical attention.

    Hypoglycemia

To manage hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) at home, follow these steps:

    1. Recognize Symptoms: Look for signs like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, irritability, confusion, or rapid heartbeat.
    2. Consume Quick-Acting Sugar: Immediately eat or drink something with fast-absorbing sugar, such as:
      • 3–4 glucose tablets.
      • 1/2 cup (120 mL) of juice or regular soda (not diet).
      • 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar.
      • 5–6 hard candies
    3. Wait and Recheck: After consuming sugar, wait 15 minutes and recheck your blood sugar. If it’s still low (below 70 mg/dL), repeat the sugar intake.
    4. Eat a Small Snack: Once your blood sugar stabilizes, eat a small, balanced snack containing carbohydrates and protein, like a peanut butter sandwich, to prevent another drop.
    5. Prevent Recurrence: Monitor blood sugar regularly, eat meals on time, and adjust medications or insulin as directed by your doctor.

If symptoms persist or worsen, or if you lose consciousness, seek emergency medical attention immediately. Always carry a source of sugar if you have diabetes.
