Introduction About VELVETROL CT TABLET
Velvetrol-CT Tablet is a nutritional supplement used to manage calcium deficiency in patients who are not getting adequate calcium from their daily diet and it is useful in conditions such as osteoporosis (bone loss), osteomalacia/rickets (weak bones), hypoparathyroidism and latent tetany (a muscle disease with low calcium levels in the blood). It contains elemental calcium and calcitriol as active ingredients to maintain adequate levels of calcium in the body thereby maintains the integrity and health of the bones.
Calcium plays a vital role in the body and it is very important for the normal functioning of the muscles, bone, nerves and cells. It helps to increase the bone density and strengthen the bones. Calcitriol is an active metabolite of vitamin D3 which is necessary for postmenopausal osteoporosis (bone loss due to low oestrogen levels). It works by increasing the blood calcium levels and stimulates the release of calcium from the bone by its action on a type of bone cells called osteoblasts (a cell which secretes the substance of bone).
Always take Velvetrol-CT Tablet as advised by your doctor. Swallow the medicine as a whole with a glass of water and do not crush or chew the medicine. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its components.
