Introduction About TONOFERON SF CAPSULE
TONOFERON SF CAPSULE contains a combination of Ferrous succinate, Folic acid, and Succinic acid that belongs to the group of medicines called Iron salts, Vitamins, and Dicarboxylic acids derivatives respectively. It is used to manage or manage nutritional anaemia due to iron or folate deficiency.
It is also used to manage or manage iron deficiency states or depleted bone marrow iron (ferritin) stores during increased physical growth & physiological demand such as pregnancy, childhood, & adolescence, heavy/chronic blood loss after surgery, bleeding piles, and gynaecological disorders (from menarche to menopause).
It is also used while recovering from chronic illnesses (such as TB, malaria, kidney diseases, & liver diseases) or in old age. Anaemia is a condition in which the red blood cell count decreases abnormally due to deficiency of iron or folic acid or due to excessive blood loss conditions.
TONOFERON SF CAPSULE is not recommended for use in deficiency of vitamin B12, possibly caused by pernicious anaemia or if you have a vegetarian diet. Before using TONOFERON SF CAPSULE, inform your doctor if you are under therapy for a folate-dependent tumour, have a family history of neural tube defects (NTDs), are obese, or have diabetes.
