Introduction About THROMBOPHOB OINTMENT
Thrombophob Ointment is an Anticoagulant, used as a topical management for thrombophlebitis (swelling of a vein due to blood clot), superficial thrombosis, acute tendovaginitis, and superficial bruises and for acceleration of absorption of hematoma. It contains Heparin Sodium and Benzyl Nicotinate as an active ingredients.
Heparin Sodium is an Anticoagulant and inhibits clot formation, promotes breakdown of clots and helps absorption of superficial micro clots. Benzyl nicotinate works by increasing the blood flow and increases the local absorption of heparin. Thus, it promotes healing and relives pain.
Apply Thrombophob Ointment as advised by your doctor. It is for external use only. Thrombophob Ointment should be applied in a thin layer to the affected area 2 to 3 times a day. It can also be spread on a piece of gauze which is placed over the affected area. Don't massage or rub the Ointment in thrombosis and thrombophlebitis. Avoid contact with eyes.
