    Introduction About ROBINAXOL TABLET

    ROBINAXOL TABLET is a combination of Methocarbamol and Paracetamol, which belong to the groups of medicines called Muscle relaxants, Analgesics and antipyretics, respectively. ROBINAXOL TABLET is used to manage painful muscle spasms associated with short-term muscle disorders like spasms in the lower back. Muscle spasm is a condition in which there are sudden, painful, and involuntary muscle contractions that occur when the nerve impulses that control the muscle movements are damaged or interrupted.

    ROBINAXOL TABLET is not recommended for use in patients who have or have had brain damage or a coma, epilepsy or convulsions, or myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness). Before taking ROBINAXOL TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any problems related to the kidney or liver.

    Before taking ROBINAXOL TABLET, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. ROBINAXOL TABLET is not recommended for use by children (16 and under). Elderly patients above 65 years of age should always consult their doctor before taking ROBINAXOL TABLET. The most common side effects of ROBINAXOL TABLET are nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, itching, etc. Consult your doctor for advice if your symptoms get worse over time.

    How ROBINAXOL TABLET Works

    ROBINAXOL TABLET is a combination of Methocarbamol and Paracetamol. Methocarbamol is a muscle relaxant that works on the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles. Paracetamol is an Analgesic and Antipyretic that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever. Thus, together they relieve pain and relax the muscles.

    How to use ROBINAXOL TABLET

    Always take ROBINAXOL TABLET as directed by your physician. Take it with or without food, swallow the medicine as full and do not crush or chew the medicine. Do not stop taking ROBINAXOL TABLET without informing your doctor.  

    Side Effects Of ROBINAXOL TABLET

    Common

    • drowsiness, difficulty in sleeping
    • restlessness, anxiety, or worry
    • dizziness
    • memory loss
    • blurred or double vision, unusual or rapid eye movements
    • eyes reddening together with nasal stuffiness
    • feeling sick or vomiting
    • heartburn
    • taste disturbance
    • tremor or shakiness, mild muscle incoordination
    • headache
    • fever
    • itching
    • a slow heartbeat
    • flushing
    • fainting or feeling faint
    • low blood pressure

    Rare

    Stop taking ROBINAXOL TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • allergic reactions (signs include skin rash, flaking skin, boils, sore lips, and mouth, swelling of the face, fever, sudden wheezing, fluttering or tightness of the chest or collapse
    • blood disorders (bruising more easily, sore throat, or other signs of infection)
    • pancreas inflammation (signs like severe pain in the abdomen and back, fever, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting)
    • serious skin reactions (skin reddening, blisters, rash)
    • yellowing of the skin and/or whites of the eyes

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Diarrhea:

    Drink plenty of fluids, such as water, fruit juices, or electrolytes (ORS), to avoid dehydration in your body. If your symptom does not improve, consult your doctor.

    Nausea or vomiting:

    Try to take this medicine with, or just after, a meal or snack, stick to simple meals and do not eat oil-rich or spicy food. If your symptom does not improve, consult your doctor.

    Dizziness:

    Lie down until the dizziness goes away, and then move slowly and carefully. Take plenty of rest and drink plenty of fluids. If your symptom does not improve, consult your doctor.

    Headache:

    Drink an ample amount of water. Get adequate rest. Try to be relaxed and stress-free. Ask your physician before taking any medicine for headaches.

    Warning & Precautions

    Pregnancy

    ROBINAXOL TABLET is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women unless considered necessary. Consult your doctor before taking it.

    Breastfeeding

    ROBINAXOL TABLET is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it may pass through breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking it.

    Driving and Using Machines

    Do not drive or operate heavy machines if you experience dizziness or tiredness while taking ROBINAXOL TABLET. Consult with your doctor for advice before taking the medicine.

    Alcohol

    Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during management with ROBINAXOL TABLET as it may cause dizziness while standing up due to low blood pressure.

    Kidney

    ROBINAXOL TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems. Consult with your doctor for advice before taking ROBINAXOL TABLET.

    Liver

    ROBINAXOL TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Consult with your doctor for advice before taking ROBINAXOL TABLET.

    Allergy

    Do not take ROBINAXOL TABLET if you are allergic to Methocarbamol and Paracetamol, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

    Others

    ROBINAXOL TABLET is not recommended for you, if you have:

    • brain damage or coma
    • epilepsy or convulsions
    • myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness)

    Use in pediatrics:

    ROBINAXOL TABLET is not recommended for use in children 16 years of age and below. Consult with your doctor for advice before taking it.

    Use in geriatrics:

    ROBINAXOL TABLET can be used in elderly patients above 65 years of age without requiring any changes in the dose. Consult with your doctor for advice before taking ROBINAXOL TABLET.

    Interactions

    A. Drug-Drug interactions:

    Before taking ROBINAXOL TABLET inform your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines:

    • medicines used to manage insomnia (Ex. barbiturates)
    • medicines used as tricyclic antidepressants (Ex. amitriptyline)
    • medicines used to manage high cholesterol (Ex. cholestyramine)
    • medicines used to thin the blood and manage clotting (Ex. warfarin)
    • medicines used to manage HIV infections and AIDS (Ex. zidovudine)
    • medicines used to manage nausea and vomiting (Ex. domperidone and metoclopramide)
    • medicines used to manage epilepsy or fits (anticonvulsants) (Ex. Phenobarbitone)
    • oral contraceptives

    Overdosage:

    If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of ROBINAXOL TABLET, consult your doctor immediately. Overdosage may cause side effects such as paleness, nausea (feeling sick), sweating, vomiting (being sick), loss of appetite and abdominal pain may occur.
