Introduction About ROBINAX 500MG TABLET
ROBINAX 500MG TABLET contains Methocarbamol which belongs to a group of medicines called Muscle relaxants. It is used for the short-term management of pain and muscle spasm caused by injuries such as sprains and strains.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking this medicine. ROBINAX 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you have ever suffered any brain damage or coma, epilepsy/convulsions or muscle weakness (a disease called myasthenia gravis).
Before taking ROBINAX 500MG TABLET inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney problems or taking any medical tests. ROBINAX 500MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is not recommended for use in children below 16 years of age.
ROBINAX 500MG TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients. The most common side effects of ROBINAX 500MG TABLET are drowsiness, dizziness, headache, fever, nausea, vomiting, blurred or double vision. Consult your doctor if symptoms do not improve.

Always take ROBINAX 500MG TABLET as directed by your physician. Swallow the medicine with plenty of water and do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease conditions.

- allergic reaction symptoms such as confusion, convulsions, fits and rash or swelling of the face or neck and shortness of breath
- yellowing of the skin and/or whites of the eyes
- severe infections or mouth ulcers

Dizziness:
Try to rest and relax. Get enough sleep. Avoid driving or operating any tools or machines while you are feeling dizzy. Do not consume too much of alcohol, as it can aggravate your dizziness. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Nausea and vomiting:
Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating rich or spicy food. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Headache:
Rest and relax. Drink plenty of fluids such as water or electrolytes. Apply a pain-relieving balm on your forehead. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Fever:
Drink plenty of fluids and water. Avoid taking cold baths or showers. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.

Pregnancy
ROBINAX 500MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant women or women planning to have a baby. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Breastfeeding
ROBINAX 500MG TABLET should be used with caution in breastfeeding women as it is not known if it passes in the breastmilk. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Driving and Using Machines
Do not drive or operate machinery while taking ROBINAX 500MG TABLET as it may make you feel sleepy.

Alcohol
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking ROBINAX 500MG TABLET.

Kidney
ROBINAX 500MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients suffering from kidney disease. Consult your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.

Liver
ROBINAX 500MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients suffering from liver disease. Consult your doctor for advice before taking this medicine.

Allergy
Do not take ROBINAX 500MG TABLET if you are allergic to Methocarbamol or any other ingredients of this medicine.
Others
ROBINAX 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you:

Interactions
A. Drug - Drug interactions:

- barbiturates (Ex. amobarbital, phenobarbital) used for epilepsy or to help you sleep
- appetite suppressants (Ex. liraglutide, tirzepatide) used for weight loss
- anti-cholinergic (Ex. dicyclomine, scopolamine) used for stomach upsets or seasickness
- psychotropic drugs (Ex. alprazolam, citalopram) used for the management of anxiety, depression or other mental illnesses
- anesthetic (Ex. propofol, ketamine) used in surgeries
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally took too much of ROBINAX 500MG TABLET, consult your doctor immediately. Symptoms include nausea, drowsiness, blurred vision, hypotension, seizures and coma.
