INTRODUCTION ABOUT REZ Q SUSPENSION
REZ Q SUSPENSION contains Quinine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antimalarials. It is used to manage malaria caused by an organism called Plasmodium falciparum (a serious disease caused by a parasite that commonly infects a specific type of mosquito which feeds on humans, causing high fevers, shaking chills, and flu-like symptoms). It is also used to manage night cramps and varicose (twisted, enlarged veins).
Your doctor might monitor your blood glucose levels routinely. Before taking REZ Q SUSPENSION, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, including prescription, non-prescription and herbal products, allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions like any upcoming surgery.
REZ Q SUSPENSION is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless considered clearly necessary.
The most common side effect of taking REZ Q SUSPENSION is cinchonism (headache, vasodilatation and sweating, nausea, ringing in ears, hearing impairment, spinning sensation, dizziness, blurred vision, and disturbance in color perception. Contact your doctor if any of the side effects get worse.
USES OF REZ Q SUSPENSION
It is used to manage:

HOW REZ Q SUSPENSION WORKS
REZ Q SUSPENSION works by increasing the levels of haeme in the blood, a substance toxic to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Take REZ Q SUSPENSION as advised by your physician. Shake well before use. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you based upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
SIDE EFFECTS OF REZ Q SUSPENSION
COMMON
- cinchonism (headache, vasodilatation and sweating, nausea, ringing in ears, hearing impairment, spinning sensation, dizziness, blurred vision, and disturbance in color perception)
- low blood sugar
RARE
Stop taking REZ Q SUSPENSION and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain
- deafness, blindness
- disturbances in cardiac rhythm or conduction
- skin eruptions
- asthma
- thrombocytopenia
- liver injury
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Headache:
Drink plenty of water and get adequate rest. Try to be relaxed and stress free. Check with your doctor before taking any medicine for headache. If headache does not get better, consult your doctor.
Dizziness:
Lie down until dizziness is resolved, then get up slowly. Do not hurry and move slowly and carefully. Get adequate rest. Drink plenty of water and other fluids. If dizziness does not get better, consult your doctor.
Nausea:
Take regular sips of a cold drink. Have ginger or peppermint tea. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy foods. If you still feel nauseous, contact your doctor.

REZ Q SUSPENSION is not recommended for use in pregnancy unless considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before taking it.

BREASTFEEDING
REZ Q SUSPENSION is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before taking it.

DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
Do not drive or operate any machines if you experience dizziness while taking REZ Q SUSPENSION.

LIVER
REZ Q SUSPENSION should be used with caution in patients having chronic liver disease. Consult your doctor before taking it.

ALLERGY
Do not take REZ Q SUSPENSION if you are allergic to Quinine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

HEART DISEASE
REZ Q SUSPENSION should be used with caution in patients having heart problems. Consult your doctor before taking it.
OTHERS
Before taking REZ Q SUSPENSION, inform your doctor if you have:
- any other pre-existing conditions
Use in pediatrics:
Your doctor will prescribe the right dose for your child depending on age, body weight and health condition. Consult your doctor before taking REZ Q SUSPENSION.
Use in geriatrics:
REZ Q SUSPENSION should be used with caution in elderly patients. Consult your doctor before taking it.
INTERACTIONS

Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of REZ Q SUSPENSION, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.

Can I stop taking REZ Q SUSPENSION on my own?
Continue taking REZ Q SUSPENSION until your doctor tells you to stop, unless you experience any unwanted effects, worsening of your condition or any new symptoms. Contact your doctor in such case.
