    Introduction About OFLOX 100MG REDIUSE SUSPENSION

    OFLOX 100MG REDIUSE SUSPENSION contains Ofloxacin, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used in children to manage bacterial infections of the eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin and urinary tract. Bacterial infections are generally characterized by fever, extreme tiredness, swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpits, groin or elsewhere, headache, nausea or vomiting.

    Ofloxacin works by binding to and inhibiting bacterial enzymes required in DNA synthesis, thus interrupting DNA replication and managing bacterial cell multiplication.

    Before using OFLOX 100MG REDIUSE SUSPENSION, inform your doctor if you have any other conditions or if you are using or taking other medicines. It should be used cautiously in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Your doctor will prescribe the right dose of OFLOX 100MG REDIUSE SUSPENSION for your child depending on age, body weight and severity of infection.

    The most common side effects of taking OFLOX 100MG REDIUSE SUSPENSION are vomiting, nausea, stomach pain, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, headache, difficulty sleeping and dizziness. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.

    It is indicated for the management of the following bacterial infections in children:

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Nausea:

    Take regular sips of a cold drink. Have ginger or peppermint tea. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy foods. If nausea does not improve, contact your doctor.

    Vomiting:

    Get adequate rest. Drink lots of fluids, especially water. Have small sips if you feel sick. Eat when you feel like it – you do not need to eat or avoid any specific foods. If vomiting does not improve, contact your doctor.

    Headache:

    Drink an ample amount of water. Get adequate rest. Try to be relaxed and stress-free. Ask your doctor before taking any medicine for headaches. Consult your doctor immediately if your symptom does not improve.

    Dizziness:

    Lie down until the dizziness is gone, then get up slowly. Move slowly and carefully, do not hurry. Get adequate rest. Drink plenty of water and other fluids. Avoid coffee, cigarettes, alcohol and drugs. Consult your doctor immediately if your symptom does not improve.

    Diarrhoea:

    Drink lots of fluids, like water or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine on your own without consulting your doctor. Consult your doctor immediately if your symptom does not improve.

    Stomach pain:

    Try to rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to eat smaller meals more frequently. Keep a heating pad on your stomach. Consult your doctor immediately if your symptom does not improve.

    Decreased appetite:

    Eat when you are hungry. Eat smaller meals more often than usual. Snack only when you are hungry. Eat a nutritious snack rich in calories and protein, such as dried fruit and nuts. Consult your doctor immediately if your symptom does not improve.
