Introduction About NODOSIS DS TABLET
Nodosis DS Tablet is an alkalinizing agent used to manage metabolic acidosis (excessive acid production in the body), certain intoxications (Ex. methyl alcohol, phenobarbital, salicylates), severe diarrhea, and haemolytic reactions requiring alkalinization of the urine.
It can also be used as an adjunct in hyperkalaemia, to correct acidosis, and in advanced cardiac life support during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). It contains sodium bicarbonate that raises blood pH and decreases acidosis.
Sodium Bicarbonate increases bicarbonate levels in plasma, decreases excess hydrogen ion concentration, raises blood pH and reverses the signs and symptoms of acidosis.
Take it as advised by your doctor and do not exceed the recommended daily dosage. Before taking Nodosis DS Tablet, inform your doctor if you have any breathing problems, severe kidney, liver or heart disease, high sodium levels, swollen lower limbs due to water retention, or low calcium levels. It is not recommended for use in patients who are losing chloride by vomiting or from continuous gastrointestinal suction, are on a salt-restricted diet or when sodium administration could be clinically detrimental.
