Introduction About NIM 100MG TABLET

NIM 100MG TABLET contains Nimesulide, which belongs to the group of medicines called Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is used to manage inflammatory conditions, including joint disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, posttraumatic and postoperative painful conditions, and fever. NIM 100MG TABLET is also used to manage acute pain in orthopaedic, ENT, dental, and mild to moderate pain of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Your doctor might advise regular liver function tests during management with NIM 100MG TABLET.

NIM 100MG TABLET is usually advised as a second line of management for a short duration of time in order to relieve symptoms.

NIM 100MG TABLET is not recommended in cases of active stomach or duodenal ulcers, alcoholism, drug addiction, cerebrovascular bleeding or bleeding disorders, severe clotting disorders, severe heart, kidney, or liver impairment, fever and/or flu-like symptoms, a history of recurrent ulceration, or gastrointestinal bleeding.

NIM 100MG TABLET is not recommended during the third trimester of pregnancy and in breast-feeding women.

NIM 100MG TABLET is not given to children and adolescents below 12 years of age. It should be used with caution in elderly patients.

The most common side effects of taking NIM 100MG TABLET are vomiting, diarrhea or nausea, and changes in the level of liver enzymes. Consult your doctor if the above side effects do not improve.

It is used to manage inflammatory conditions, including joint disorders such as:

NIM 100MG TABLET works by blocking the enzyme involved in the production of certain chemical substances during inflammation, which are responsible for causing pain, redness, swelling, and fever in the body. Hence decreasing the fever, pain, and swelling caused after injuries.

How to use NIM 100MG TABLET

Take NIM 100MG TABLET as advised by your physician. It can be taken with or without meals.

For Tablet, Capsule: Swallow NIM 100MG TABLET with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.

For Dispersible Tablet: Disperse NIM 100MG TABLET in the specified quantity of water as mentioned in the label. Consume the mixture immediately after reconstitution.

Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight, and disease condition. Continue to take NIM 100MG TABLET for the stipulated duration prescribed by your doctor to achieve better results.

Take this medicine just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil-rich or spicy foods. If the nausea and vomiting do not improve, contact your doctor.

A. Drug-Drug interactions:

• other medicine used to reduce inflammation (Ex. methylprednisolone)
• medicine used to manage blood clots (Ex. warfarin)
• medicine used in management of arthritis (Ex. methotrexate)
• medicines used in the management of mental disorders (Ex. lithium)
• diuretics (Ex. furosemide) to rid the body of salt and water

Overdosage:

If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much NIM 100MG TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose are drowsiness, sluggishness, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal discomfort.
