How NEOSPORIN ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENT Works
NEOSPORIN ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENT works by managing bacterial growth. The three components present in NEOSPORIN ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENT actively work by managing the bacterial growth by blocking the enzymes and substances required for its growth. Bacitracin breaks the peptidoglycan chain needed for cell growth. Neomycin binds with proteins required for cell growth, which leads to the production of defective cell membranes. Polymyxin B damages the bacterial cell membrane, which causes leakage of cell components.
