Mecobion OD Tablet contains all the ingredients which are required for the proper function and maintenance of the degenerated neurons. It contains methylcobalamin, alpha lipoic acid, chromium picolinate, pyridoxine, calcium pantothenate, nicotinamide and folic acid as active ingredients to manage diabetic neuropathy, peripheral neuropathy, alcoholic neuropathy, drug-induced neuropathy and hyperhomocysteinemia.
Methylcobalamin is a potent form of vitamin B12, that has a strong effect on the nervous system and is very important for cell growth and production. It is believed to strengthen the myelin sheath of nerve axons so can be used in neuropathy. Alpha-lipoic acid helps lower blood sugar levels. Its ability to kill free radicals may help people with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, who have pain, burning, itching, tingling and numbness in their arms and legs from nerve damage.
Chromium picolinate improves blood glucose, insulin, cholesterol and hemoglobin A1C in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus in a dose-dependent manner.
