Introduction About IBSET 5MCG TABLET
IBSET 5MCG TABLET contains Ramosetron which belongs to the group of medicines called 5-HT3 (Serotonin) receptor antagonists. It is used to manage nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy and diarrheal IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) in men. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a gastrointestinal disorder that affects the intestine. Symptoms include stomach ache, diarrhoea or constipation, and bloating.
IBSET 5MCG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with ischemic colitis, constipation or constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome, large intestine carcinoma and inflammatory bowel disease, infectious enteritis or history of abdominal surgery.
IBSET 5MCG TABLET is generally not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women and in children and adolescents (less than 18 years of age). It should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above).
The most common side effects of taking IBSET 5MCG TABLET is constipation. Consult your doctor immediately if the symptom or side effect gets worse.

IBSET 5MCG TABLET effectively manages nausea and vomiting by blocking the serotonin 5-HT3 receptor present in the gastrointestinal mucosa. It also manages irritable bowel syndrome by inhibiting the 5-HT3 receptor present in the myenteric plexus (which regulates bowel's movement).
How to use IBSET 5MCG TABLET
Take IBSET 5MCG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Depending on your age, body weight, and medical condition, your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration of the management for you.
