    INTRODUCTION ABOUT HYDROEYES

HYDROEYES contains Cyclosporin which belongs to the group of medicines called Immunosuppressants.  It is used to manage severe dry eye syndrome (keratoconjunctivitis sicca) in children and in adolescents (aged between 4-18 years).

Dry Eye Syndrome (also known as keratoconjunctivitis sicca) is an allergic eye condition that affects the transparent layer in the front part of the eye and the thin membrane covering the front part of the eye. It is characterized by excessive eye dryness, redness, itching, inflammation and discomfort. Persons having dry eye syndrome do not produce sufficient tears to lubricate and nourish the eyes.

HYDROEYES is for ophthalmic use only. Wash your hands before and after application. Avoid touching the tip of the container with your mouth, nose or other parts of body to avoid contamination.

If you wear soft contact lenses, make sure to remove them before using HYDROEYES. Consult your doctor about the usage of contact lenses while undergoing management for dry eyes.

Before using HYDROEYES inform your doctor if you have any other eye conditions apart from dry eye syndrome such as eye infection or glaucoma. HYDROEYES is not recommended for use in patients having cancer in and around the eye areas. Consult your doctor before using HYDROEYES if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

The most common side effects of using HYDROEYES are eye pain, redness, irritation or discomfort, watery eyes and blurred vision. Consult your doctor if they trouble you.

    USES OF HYDROEYES

    • Manage severe dry eye syndrome

    HOW HYDROEYES WORKS

HYDROEYES is an immunosuppressive agent. Following application on the eyes, it blocks the release of certain chemicals in the eye (such as T-cells, interleukins and cytokines) that causes eye inflammation, allergies and discomfort. As a result, it reduces inflammation and swelling on the eye and keeps your eyes lubricated by allowing your eye to produce tears.

    DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Use HYDROEYES as advised by your physician. It is for ophthalmic use only. Wash your hands before application. Tilt your head slightly backwards and place the tip of the container close to your eyes.

Gently pull your lower eyelid and instil few drops of the medicine as directed by your physician. Close your eyes and gently press the inner corner of your eye for 2 minutes. Repeat the same for the other eye if required.

Do not touch the tip of the container with your eyes, eyelids or areas around your eyes or fingers, to avoid contamination. Avoid wearing contact lenses while undergoing therapy for dry eyes.

Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Do not stop using HYDROEYES unless your doctor tells you to stop.
