Introduction About GEN D3 6L
GEN D3 6L contains Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) which belongs to the group of medicines called Vitamin D analogs. It is used for the prophylaxis of vitamin D deficiency symptoms due to malabsorption (Ex. caused by chronic intestinal diseases, scarred alteration of the liver tissue (biliary hepatocirrhosis), extended stomach or intestines resections) or if an oral therapy is impossible or ineffective.
Along with this management, your doctor might advise you to eat and drink foods that are rich in calcium. Your doctor might want to take certain blood tests prior to the management to understand the existing condition.
GEN D3 6L is not recommended for use if you have high levels of calcium in the blood (hypercalcemia) or urine (hypercalciuria), tend to form kidney stones having calcium, suffer from hereditary dysfunction of the excretion of phosphate (pseudohypoparathyroidism).
Before receiving GEN D3 6L inform your doctor if your kidney excretion of calcium and phosphate is impaired, your mobility is reduced (Ex. due to a cast), suffer from sarcoidosis (a multisystem chronic inflammatory condition which can affect your lungs, heart and kidneys).
GEN D3 6L is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any unusual symptoms during management with this medicine.
