FLUVIR 12MG SYRUP should be taken with caution in patients with kidney problems, long-term lung disease, or heart disease. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Take FLUVIR 12MG SYRUP as advised by your physician. Shake well before use. Take it with food to reduce the chance of nausea and vomiting. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight, and the severity of the infection.

- anaphylactic and anaphylactoid reactions (severe allergic reactions causing face and skin swelling, itchy rashes, low body pressure, and breathing difficulties)
- signs of liver disorders such as fulminant hepatitis, hepatic function disorder, and jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes, change in stool colour, behavioural changes)
- angioneurotic oedema (sudden onset of severe swelling of the skin mainly around the head and neck area, including the eyes and tongue, with breathing difficulties)
- complicated and life-threatening allergic reaction like Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis (severe inflammation of the outer and possibly inner skin, initially with fever, sore throat, fatigue, and skin rashes, leading to blisters, peeling, shedding of larger areas of skin, breathing difficulties, and low blood pressure)
- signs of gastrointestinal bleeding (prolonged bleeding from the large bowel or spitting up blood)
- signs of neuropsychiatric disorders such as convulsions (fits) and delirium with changed consciousness level, behavioural changes, confusion, delusions (false belief), hallucinations (sensations that feel real but are created by your mind), agitation, anxiety (feeling of fear), nightmares (disturbing dreams with negative thoughts), and self-injury
How To Manage Side Effects
Diarrhea
Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juice, to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine on your own without consulting your doctor. Contact your doctor if the diarrhea does not improve.
Dizziness Or Drowsiness
Sit down or lie down slowly when you are feeling dizzy. Take some time to rest and drink plenty of water. Avoid coffee and other carbonated drinks. If the dizziness does not improve, contact your doctor.
Headache
Try to rest and relax. Apply pain balm to the head to ease off the pain. Sip on some hot water or ginger tea. If the headache does not improve, contact your doctor.
Nausea And Vomiting
Take this medicine with meals or after meals. Stick to simple meals and avoid eating oil-rich or spicy foods. If nausea and vomiting do not improve, contact your doctor.
Stomach Pain
Try to rest and relax. Drink more water and have smaller, more frequent meals. Keep a heat pad on your stomach. If the stomach pain does not improve, contact your doctor.
