    Introduction About ETORERA 90 TABLET

    ETORERA 90 TABLET is used to reduce pain and swelling associated with inflammatory bone conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (inflammation of the spine), and gout (joint pain caused by excessive accumulation of uric acid in between the joints). It can also be used to reduce pain following a dental surgery. It contains Etoricoxib, which belongs to the group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs. It works by blocking the release of certain chemicals (prostaglandins) in the body that cause pain, swelling, and inflammation, thereby reducing pain and inflammation associated with inflammatory conditions.

    Before taking ETORERA 90 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any history of heart, liver, or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have diabetes, high blood cholesterol levels, uncontrollable high blood pressure, or severe dehydration. ETORERA 90 TABLET is strictly not recommended for use in patients with stomach problems (such as stomach ulcers, bleeding in the gut, or inflammatory bowel diseases). It is also not suitable for use in patients with stroke or any severe form of heart problems, liver problems, or kidney problems.

    It is suitable for use in adults and adolescents (aged 16 years or older). Do not take ETORERA 90 TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding without consulting your doctor. The most common side effects of taking ETORERA 90 TABLET are stomach pain, bloating, constipation, mouth ulcers. Consult your doctor immediately if any of these side effects worsen.

    It is used in adults and in adolescents (aged 16 years or older) to:

    • Manage pain and swelling caused by inflammation of bones and joints
    • Manage pain following dental surgery

    ETORERA 90 TABLET is a pain-relieving medicine. It works by blocking the release of certain chemicals (prostaglandins) in the body that cause pain, swelling, and inflammation, thereby reducing pain and inflammation associated with inflammatory conditions.

    How to use ETORERA 90 TABLET

    • Take ETORERA 90 TABLET as advised by your physician
    • Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine
    • ETORERA 90 TABLET can be taken with or without food
    • Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight, and disease condition

    Side Effects Of ETORERA 90 TABLET

    Common side effects of ETORERA 90 TABLET:

    • stomach pain
    • constipation, flatulence, heartburn, indigestion, diarrhea
    • mouth ulcer
    • feeling weak or tired
    • infections of the respiratory or urinary tract
    • tingling and numbness in the body
    • changes in bowel habits, dry mouth, stomach ulcers

    Stop taking ETORERA 90 TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • chest pain, shortness of breath, swollen ankles
    • severe stomach pain with dark stools
    • jaundice (yellow colouration of the skin and the eyes)
    • signs of an allergic reaction (such as skin rash, itching, blistering, and peeling of the skin, swelling of the face, lips, mouth, and throat, which may lead to breathing difficulties)

    ETORERA 90 TABLET should not be used during pregnancy. Therefore, inform your doctor before taking the medicine if you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby.

    It is not known whether ETORERA 90 TABLET can pass through breast milk or not. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking the medicine if you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed.

    Driving and Using Machines

    Do not drive or operate any heavy tools or machines if you feel dizzy or sleepy after taking the medicine.

    Heart Disease

    ETORERA 90 TABLET is not recommended for use in patients who have or had heart failure, angina, heart attack, bypass surgery, blocked blood vessels, or poor blood circulation in the body.  

    Use In Pediatrics

    Monitoring required

    ETORERA 90 TABLET should be used in adolescents aged 16 years or above only if prescribed by the physician. It should not be used in children and adolescents (aged below 16 years).

    Use In Geriatrics

    Use with Caution

    ETORERA 90 TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged above 65 years).

    Others

    ETORERA 90 TABLET is not recommended for use if you:

    • currently have ulcers or bleeding in stomach or intestines
    • have inflammatory bowel diseases (crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis)
    • have uncontrollably high blood pressure
    • had stroke (including mini-stroke, transient ischemic attack)

    Before taking ETORERA 90 TABLET, inform your doctor if you

    • have a previous history of stomach ulcers
    • are dehydrated due to prolonged vomiting or diarrhea
    • have a history of high blood pressure
    • have edema (swelling of body parts)
    • are being managed for an infection
    • have diabetes
    • have high cholesterol
    • are a smoker

    Before taking ETORERA 90 TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines, such as:

    • Anticoagulant (Ex. Warfarin)
    • Antibiotics (Ex. Rifampicin)
    • Antimetabolites (Ex. Methotrexate)
    • Immunosuppressants (Ex. Cyclosporin, Tacrolimus)
    • Anti-maniac agents (Ex. Lithium)
    • ACE inhibitors (Ex. enalapril, ramipril)
    • Angiotensin receptor blockers (Ex. losartan, valsartan)
    • Diuretics (Ex. bumetanide, ethacrynic acid)
    • Cardiac glycosides (Ex. Digoxin)
    • Vasodilators (Ex. Minoxidil)
    • Bronchodilators (Ex. Salbutamol)
    • Antiprogestational steroids (Ex. mifepristone, drospirenone, ethinylestradiol)
    • Hormone replacement therapy (Ex. estradiol, dydrogesterone)
    • Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) (Ex. Aspirin)
