Introduction About ETIBO 250 TABLET
ETIBO 250 TABLET contains Lapatinib which belongs to the group of medicines called Anticancer agents. It is used to manage metastatic breast cancer (cancer that has been spread to other parts of the body from breast). It is mostly used in combination with other anticancer or hormonal medicines (such as capecitabine, trastuzumab or anastrozole) to achieve better results.
ETIBO 250 TABLET can be taken either one hour before or one hour after food. During management with ETIBO 250 TABLET, your doctor will periodically monitor your heart, liver, kidney and lung functions as a precaution.
Before taking ETIBO 250 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any lung, liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have diarrhea before taking this medicine.
Do not take ETIBO 250 TABLET without consulting your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The most common side effects of taking ETIBO 250 TABLET are nausea, vomiting, weakness, indigestion, constipation, sore mouth, trouble sleeping, back pain, joint pain, headache, hot flushes, hair loss, nail disorder and abnormal heartbeat. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects worsen.

How ETIBO 250 TABLET Works
ETIBO 250 TABLET is an anticancer agent. It works by blocking the actions of certain cellular proteins (tyrosine kinase) that triggers cancer cell formation. It also blocks various downstream cell signalling pathways that triggers cancer growth within the body. As a result, it reduces cancer formation and manages its further growth within the body.
How to use ETIBO 250 TABLET
Take ETIBO 250 TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. ETIBO 250 TABLET can be taken either one hour before or one hour after food.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Continue to take ETIBO 250 TABLET for the stipulated duration instructed by your doctor to achieve better results.
Side Effects Of ETIBO 250 TABLET
Common
- nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite
- tiredness, weakness
- indigestion, constipation, stomach pain
- sore mouth, trouble sleeping
- back pain, pain in hands and feet, joint pain
- skin reaction on the palms of the hands or soles of the feet (including tingling, numbness, pain, swelling or reddening)
- headache
- nose bleeds, hot flushes
- unusual hair loss or thinning
- nail disorder
- abnormal heartbeat
Rare
Stop taking ETIBO 250 TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- signs of allergic reactions (such as skin rash, itching, swelling of the face, lips, tongue and throat causing difficulty in breathing or swallowing)
- severe diarrhea
- severe skin rash with skin dryness and itching
- severe cough and shortness of breath (signs of lung damage)
How To Manage Side Effects
Dizziness Or Drowsiness
Try to rest and relax. Get enough sleep. Avoid driving or operating any tools or machines completely while you are feeling dizzy. Consult your doctor if your dizziness worsens.
Headache
Rest and relax. Keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids such as water or electrolytes. Applying a pain-relieving balm on your forehead can be beneficial. Consult your doctor if your headache worsens.
Nausea And Vomiting
Stick to simple meals and avoid oil rich or spicy foods. Consult your doctor if nausea worsens.
Skin rash Or Itching
Avoid hot showers because hot water can irritate your skin further. Do not scratch the affected area. Use protective clothing when going outdoors. Regularly moisturize your skin. Consult your doctor if your skin rash worsens.

Pregnancy
ContraindicatedETIBO 250 TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women. Therefore, consult your doctor for advice before taking it. Women of childbearing potential must use a suitable contraceptive method to manage pregnancy while taking ETIBO 250 TABLET.
Breastfeeding
ContraindicatedETIBO 250 TABLET may pass through breast milk. Therefore, it is not recommended for use in breast-feeding women. Kindly consult your doctor before taking it.
Driving and Using Machines
