Introduction About ENRIFOL H TABLET
ENRIFOL H TABLET is used in postmenopausal women (with at least 6 months since their last natural period) to manage symptoms that occur after menopause, like hot face, neck, and chest (hot flushes) and osteoporosis (weak bones). It contains Estradiol hemihydrate, which belongs to the group of medicines called Estrogens that helps maintain an adequate level of circulating hormones, thus providing relief from hot flushes and weak bones.
Before you start using ENRIFOL H TABLET, your doctor will ask about your own and your family’s medical history. Your doctor may decide to perform a physical examination (examination of your breasts and/or an internal examination) if necessary.
ENRIFOL H TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Estradiol or if you have or have had liver disease and the liver function tests have not returned to normal or have lung disease such as pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lungs), heart disease such as a heart attack, or angina. It is also not recommended for use in patients who have or have suspected breast or endometrial tumour or thrombosis (blood clots in the vein), unusual vaginal bleeding, or unmanageed endometrial hyperplasia (excessive thickening of the womb lining).
Before taking ENRIFOL H TABLET, inform your doctor if you have liver disease (such as a benign liver tumour), lung problems such as asthma, or have high blood pressure, fibroids (non-cancerous growths inside the womb), endometriosis (growth of the womb lining outside the womb) or endometrial hyperplasia (excessive growth of the womb lining), and/or suffer from epilepsy, otosclerosis (disease that affects the eardrum and hearing), and kidney problems.
ENRIFOL H TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women since it is intended to be used only in postmenopausal women. The medicine is also not recommended for use in children and adolescents since it is indicated for use only in postmenopausal women.
The common side effects of taking ENRIFOL H TABLET are headache, nausea, cramps in the legs, abdominal or pelvic pain, unscheduled bleeding or spotting, wind, asthenia (a feeling of weakness), changes in weight, and/or rash or itching. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsen.
