    Introduction About CIPREMI INJECTION

CIPREMI INJECTION contains Remdesivir which belongs to the group of medicines called Antiviral drugs. It is used in adults and children (older than 28 days and weighing at least 3 kg) for the management of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) who have pneumonia, need extra oxygen to help them breathe, but who are not on artificial ventilation.

It also manages adults and children (weighing at least 40 kg) who do not need extra oxygen to breathe and are at increased risk for progressing to severe COVID-19. Coronavirus causes short-term, mild upper respiratory infection (common cold), with symptoms like nasal obstruction, sneezing, runny nose, and sometimes cough.

Prior to the management, your doctor may want you to take several blood tests to understand your existing condition. Before receiving CIPREMI INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney problems, or if you are immunocompromised.

CIPREMI INJECTION should be used with caution among pregnant or breastfeeding women, therefore consult your doctor before receiving. CIPREMI INJECTION is not recommended for children younger than 28 days of age or weighing less than 3 kg.

CIPREMI INJECTION should be used with caution in elderly patients above 65 years of age. The most common side effects of receiving CIPREMI INJECTION are nausea, headache, or rash. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.
