Introduction About AUXISODA EC 1000 TABLET
AUXISODA EC 1000 Tablet is an alkalinizing agent used to correct metabolic acidosis (increased acidity of blood and urine). It can also be used as a replacement therapy for patients suffering from severe diarrhea and can manage injection site irritation in patients receiving IV fluids or injections.
It contains sodium bicarbonate as the active ingredient which is a base (alkaline) compound. Following consumption, sodium bicarbonate restores the pH of blood and urine to the normal levels and reverses the clinical manifestations of metabolic acidosis.
Use AUXISODA EC 1000 Tablet only as advised by your doctor. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Do not exceed the daily recommended dosage.
Before taking AUXISODA EC 1000 Tablet, inform your doctor if you have breathing problems, heart problems, kidney problems, liver problems, high blood pressure, high blood sodium levels or swollen foot or ankles. You must also inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as a precaution.
Do not take AUXISODA EC 1000 Tablet if you have metabolic alkalosis (increased pH of blood and urine), excessive vomiting or hypocalcemia (low blood calcium levels) or if you are undergoing continuous gastrointestinal suction.
The most common side effects of taking this medicine are nausea, vomiting, headache, muscle pain, constipation, dry mouth, increased thirst, skin ulcerations, tiredness and edema. Consult your doctor if any of these side effect troubles you.
