    Arkamin 100mcg is primarily used for the management of hypertension (high blood pressure). It helps lower blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels.

    Take Arkamin Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Usually, it is taken once or twice daily with or without food.

    Arkamin 100mcg Tablet is an approved FDA Pregnancy C category, clonidine has shown adverse effects in animal studies, but adequate human studies are limited. Some clinical reports suggest that Clonidine may cross the placenta, leading to transient changes in fetal heart rate and neonatal drowsiness, bradycardia and hypotension after birth. Hence use only if benefits outweigh risks, and under strict medical supervision.

    Breastfeeding

    Contraindicated

    Clonidine passes into breast milk and may affect the nursing infant. Some reported effects on infants include drowsiness & sedation, weak sucking reflex (may impact feeding) and lower blood pressure and heart rate. Hence it is not recommended due to potential infant effects. If needed, monitor the baby closely for signs of sedation or feeding difficulties.
