Introduction About ACEPOL T TABLET
ACEPOL T TABLET contains Aceclofenac, Paracetamol (Acetaminophen), and Thiocolchicoside which belongs to the group of medicines called Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory drugs and Muscle relaxants. ACEPOL T TABLET is used in adults for the management of acute inflammatory and painful conditions associated with muscle spasms, such as lower back pain, muscle spasm due to any injury, neck and shoulder pain, sciatica (type of nerve pain), degenerative vertebral disorders, ankylosing spondylitis (chronic back pain due to fusion of some bones of the spine), osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
Avoid drinking alcohol while taking ACEPOL T TABLET. ACEPOL T TABLET is not recommended for use in patients suffering from stomach ulcers, intestinal bleeding or have a history of stomach ulcers, severe kidney problems, liver failure, bleeding disorders, peripheral arterial disease (problem with blood circulation), heart problems such as heart attack, stroke, blockages in blood vessels of brain or heart or had a history of heart surgery for clearing blockages, rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption, therefore consult your doctor before taking.
ACEPOL T TABLET should be used with caution in patients suffering from liver and kidney problems, seizures, stomach and bowel disorders, asthma or breathing problems, blood disorders (porphyria), recovering from major surgery, and alcohol dependence. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.
ACEPOL T TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women; therefore, consult your doctor before taking it. ACEPOL T TABLET is not recommended for use in children below 16 years of age. ACEPOL T TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (>65 years). Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.
The most common side effects after taking ACEPOL T TABLET are dizziness, nausea, diarrhoea, drowsiness, and stomach pain. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any side effects or an allergic reaction after taking this medicine.
Uses Of ACEPOL T TABLET
ACEPOL T TABLET is used in adults for the management of acute inflammatory and painful conditions associated with muscle spasms such as:
- lower back pain
- muscle spasm due to any injury
- neck and shoulder pain
- sciatica (type of nerve pain)
- degenerative vertebral disorders
- ankylosing spondylitis (chronic back pain due to the fusion of some bones of the spine)
- osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis
How ACEPOL T TABLET Works
ACEPOL T TABLET contains Aceclofenac, Paracetamol (Acetaminophen), and Thiocolchicoside, which work together to reduce pain and inflammation. Paracetamol and aceclofenac stop the formation of pain and inflammation-causing chemicals called prostaglandins, and thiocolchicoside acts in the brain and spinal cord on GABA receptors and helps to relieve muscle stiffness and muscle spasms.
How to use ACEPOL T TABLET
Take ACEPOL T TABLET as advised by your physician. Take ACEPOL T TABLET with meals or after meals. Swallow ACEPOL T TABLET as a whole with a glass of water and do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the exact dose and duration of management for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects Of ACEPOL T TABLET
Common
- dizziness
- nausea
- diarrhoea
- drowsiness (somnolence)
- stomach pain
- increased liver enzymes
Uncommon
- gas (flatulence)
- constipation
- vomiting
- mouth ulcers
- rashes, itching, skin inflammation, hives
- allergic skin reactions
- increased blood urea and creatinine level
Rare
- low blood iron levels
- vision problems
- heart failure
- high blood pressure
- shortness of breath
- stomach ulcers and bleeding
- urticaria
Stop taking ACEPOL T TABLET and consult your doctor immediately in case you experience:
- diarrhoea
- severe allergic reaction-symptoms include fever, difficulty breathing, wheezing, stomach pain, vomiting, and swelling of the face and throat
- severe skin reactions such as stevens-johnnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis. These are potentially life-threatening, and they develop quickly forming large blisters and the skin peels away easily. These may appear in the mouth, throat, or eyes. These can be accompanied by fever, headache and aching of the joints
- meningitis-symptoms include high fever, headache, vomiting, blotchy red rashes, neck stiffness, and sensitivity to light
- kidney failure
- passing blood in stools or black tarry stools
- vomiting blood or any dark particles
- indigestion and acidity
- stomach pain and other abdominal problems
- blood disorder-symptoms include extreme tiredness, breathlessness, joint pain, repeated bruising and infections, and unexplained bruising or bleeding
- liver problems-symptoms include sudden weight loss, loss of appetite, jaundice, and feeling sick
How To Manage Side Effects

Diarrhea
Drink plenty of water or fruit juices to stay hydrated. Don’t take any medicine on your own for managing diarrhoea. However, contact your doctor if the diarrhoea worsens.

Headache
Rest and relax. Drink plenty of water and electrolytes. Apply a pain-relieving balm to the head if required. Do not consume alcohol. However, contact your doctor if your headache does not improve.

Nausea And Vomiting
Take the medicine with or after a meal. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy food. However, contact your doctor if nausea and vomiting worsen.

Skin rash Or Itching
Avoid taking hot showers because they can irritate the skin and scratch the affected area. Apply moisturising cream regularly. Contact your doctor if the itching persists.

Stomach Pain
Try to rest and relax. Consume small meals regularly. Keep a heating pad on your stomach. If the stomach pain does not go away, see your doctor.

Breastfeeding

Driving and Using Machines
Use with CautionAvoid driving or operating machinery while taking ACEPOL T TABLET as it may cause dizziness, nausea, or drowsiness.

Alcohol

Kidney

Allergy
ContraindicatedDo not take ACEPOL T TABLET if you are allergic to Aceclofenac, Paracetamol (Acetaminophen), Thiocolchicoside, other NSAIDs such as aspirin, diclofenac, or any other ingredients of ACEPOL T TABLET.

Lungs
Use with CautionACEPOL T TABLET should be used with caution in patients suffering from asthma or breathing problems, therefore consult your doctor before taking it.

Heart Disease
ContraindicatedACEPOL T TABLET is not recommended for use in patients suffering from heart problems such as heart attack, stroke, blockages in blood vessels of the heart or having a history of heart surgery for clearing blockages, therefore consult your doctor before taking it. ACEPOL T TABLET is not recommended for patients suffering from heart problems such as angina, therefore consult your doctor before taking it.
Others
ACEPOL T TABLET is not recommended for use if you have:
- stomach ulcers, intestinal bleeding or have a history of stomach ulcers
- bleeding disorders
- peripheral arterial disease (problem with blood circulation)
- blockages in blood vessels of the brain
- rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption
Before taking ACEPOL T TABLET inform your doctor if you have:
- seizures
- stomach and bowel disorders such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease (inflammatory bowel diseases), ulceration, bleeding or perforation in the gut or bowel
- blood disorders (porphyria)
- recovering from major surgery
- alcohol dependence
- chicken pox
- diabetes
- smoking habit
- high blood pressure
- raised cholesterol or triglycerides
- blood clots (thrombus)
Use in paediatrics:
ACEPOL T TABLET is not recommended for use in children below 16 years of age, therefore consult your doctor before taking it.
Use in geriatric:
ACEPOL T TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (>65 years), therefore consult your doctor before taking it.
Interactions
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before taking ACEPOL T TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:
- non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen (medicines used for the management of pain and inflammation)
- zidovudine (a medicine used to manage HIV infection)
- antidiabetic medications such as metformin, glipizide, sitagliptin etc. (medicines used for the management of diabetes)
- cyclosporin, tacrolimus (medicines used for immune system suppression)
- steroids such as betamethasone, dexamethasone, estradiol, testosterone etc
- mifepristone (a medicine used to induce abortions)
- methotrexate (a medicine used for the management of cancer and autoimmune disorders)
- anticoagulants such as warfarin, and heparin (medicine that manages blood from clotting)
- diuretics such as furosemide, spironolactone etc (medicines that help maintain body fluid balance)
- quinolone antibiotics such as ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, etc (medicines used for the management of bacterial infections)
- antihypertensives such as losartan, enalapril, metoprolol, etc (medicines used for the management of high blood pressure)
- cardiac glycosides such as digoxin (medicines used for the management of irregular heartbeat and heart failure)
- anti-depressants such as lithium, fluoxetine, sertraline, etc (medicines used for the management of depression)
- colestyramine (a medicine used to lower cholesterol levels)
- metoclopramide and domperidone (medicines used for the management of nausea and vomiting)
Overdosage:
If you or anybody else accidentally takes too much of ACEPOL T TABLET, then consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
