When lighting this Candle for the first time, allow to burn for 4 hours, then extinguish. After wax has become cool and firm, repeat this step several times. After each burning, trim the wick so that 1/4" of black area remains. If flame is too small, pour off liquid wax. Keep away from draught of air.
