INTRODUCTION
TRIGAINE SOLUTION is a combination of Azelaic acid, Minoxidil and Tretinoin, which belongs to the group of medicines called Dermatological preparations. It is indicated for treatment of Androgenetic alopecia in both males and females. Androgenetic alopecia is expressed in males as baldness of the vertex of the scalp and/or as frontal hair recession. In females, it is expressed as diffuse hair loss or thinning in the fronto parietal areas.
Androgenetic alopecia is a genetically determined, patterned, progressive loss of hair from the scalp and occurs in both men and women. Both androgens and genetics play a role in its pathogenesis. Before using TRIGAINE SOLUTION, inform your doctor if are allergic to any medicines. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, or mouth, flushing area with large amounts of cool tap water if accidental contact occurs.
TRIGAINE SOLUTION is not recommended in infants. Safety and efficacy have not been established for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age. Consult your doctor for advice. The common side effects of TRIGAINE SOLUTION are application site reactions such as burning, stinging, or redness, contact dermatitis and allergic reactions. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any of these above side effects.

HOW TRIGAINE SOLUTION WORKS
TRIGAINE SOLUTION is a dermatological preparation that contains Azelaic Acid, Minoxidil and Tretinoin. Azelaic acid inhibits the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), prevent hair follicle damage and hair loss. Minoxidil stimulates hair growth, increases cutaneous blood flow as a result of vasodilation, stimulates resting hair follicles (telogen phase) into active growth (anagen phase). Tretinoin binds to nuclear retinoic acid receptor, normalize the pattern of keratinization and promotes, regulates cell proliferation and differentiation in the epithelium and may promote vascular proliferation.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Apply TRIGAINE SOLUTION as advised by your physician. Clean and dry the scalp area before applying the medicine. Open the cap and take the right quantity of the medicine and apply on the affected scalp area with the dropper provided. Spread the solution evenly with the fingertip. Your doctor will decide the right dose and duration for you depending upon your age and disease condition.
SIDE EFFECTS OF TRIGAINE SOLUTION
COMMON
- contact dermatitis
- allergic reaction (reddened skin, skin rash, swelling of face)
- folliculitis (acne, inflammation or soreness at root of hair)
- burning, stinging, or redness (at the application site)
Stop using TRIGAINE SOLUTION if you experience the following:
- facial/body hair, dizziness, fast/irregular heartbeat, fainting, chest pain, swelling of hands/feet
- unusual weight gain, tiredness, difficulty breathing especially when lying down
- serious allergic reaction (rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing)

INTERACTIONS
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before using TRIGAINE SOLUTION, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:
- medicines used for high blood pressure (Ex. guanethidine)
- medicines that interact with alcohol (Ex. disulfiram, metronidazole)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally uses too much of TRIGAINE SOLUTION, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose includes dizziness, drowsiness, fainting, flushing.
