INTRODUCTION

SOLTRIMA 1% DUSTING POWDER contains Clotrimazole which belongs to the group of medicines called anti-fungals. It is used in the treatment of skin infections such as athlete’s foot, jock itch, ringworm and infections resulting from excessive sweating. It also relives symptoms such as burning, itching, skin cracking and discomfort caused by the skin infections. Ringworm is a fungal infection affecting the skin causing redness and itching. Athlete’s foot a fungal infection affecting the spaces between the toes.

Clotrimazole works by blocking the fungal growth and prevents further occurrence of fungal infections. SOLTRIMA 1% DUSTING POWDER is intended to treat fungal skin infections hence should not be used be used for other infections of internal organs. Avoid applying this medicine around your eyes, including eyelids and mouth. Consult your doctor immediately if the infection does not recover within seven days of treatment with SOLTRIMA 1% DUSTING POWDER.

SOLTRIMA 1% DUSTING POWDER is not recommended for patients allergic to clotrimazole. SOLTRIMA 1% DUSTING POWDER is not recommended to use in deep wounds and severe burns. SOLTRIMA 1% DUSTING POWDER should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Before taking SOLTRIMA 1% DUSTING POWDER inform your doctor if you’re under any medications.

HOW SOLTRIMA 1% DUSTING POWDER WORKS

SOLTRIMA 1% DUSTING POWDER works by preventing the fungal growth. Clotrimazole works by blocking production of enzymes responsible for the growth of fungal cell. This inhibition results in breakage of cell membranes and fungal cell abnormalities, finally leading to alterations in membrane-based activity of fungus. It further prevents the occurrence of fungal infections. These leads to fungal cell death and prevention of further fungal growth.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Always apply SOLTRIMA 1% DUSTING POWDER as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Do not take SOLTRIMA 1% DUSTING POWDER orally. Avoid applying this medicine around your eyes, including eyelids and mouth. Consult your doctor immediately if the infection does not recover within seven days of treatment with SOLTRIMA 1% DUSTING POWDER. Before using the SOLTRIMA 1% DUSTING POWDER on the affected area wash it thoroughly and make sure it is dry before using SOLTRIMA 1% DUSTING POWDER.
