Introduction About SCABIMIDE
Scabimide Lotion is an anti-parasitic and anti-bacterial lotion used for the management of Scabies (an itchy skin rash caused by a skin borrowing mite known as Sarcoptes scabiei) and Pediculosis (a condition in which lice or its eggs infest on hairy parts of body, clothing, or bedding). It contains Gamma Benzene Hexachloride and Cetrimide as active ingredients.
Gamma Benzene Hexachloride is directly absorbed into the parasite and its eggs where it causes paralysis and ultimately death of the parasite. Cetrimide is an antibacterial works against the infection-causing bacteria.
Scabimide Lotion is for external use only. Apply a thin layer of Scabimide Lotion all over the skin. Wash off the medicine after 8 to 12 hours. Do not apply Scabimide Lotion on open wounds, cuts, or sores. Scabimide Lotion is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless clearly necessary. Scabimide Lotion should be used with caution in children and elderly patients.
