What is SARIDON?


Saridon tablet is a mild analgesic which provides pain relief as fast as 30 minutes, after consumption, due to its unique triple action formula. Saridon is more efficacious than other analgesics and effective pain killer. Saridon tablet blocks prostaglandin secretion, block pain signal transmission and modulates the intensity of pain. It has the advantages of fast onset of action and a combined analgesic effect. It is used to relieve mild to severe headaches, toothache, menstrual discomfort, postoperative and rheumatic pain, and for pain and fever associated with colds and flu.

Paracetamol has analgesic and antipyretic action. Therefore, it relieves mild to moderate pain and fever. Propyphenazone has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activity. It alleviates pain, inflammation and fever. Caffeine is a natural substance, which is extracted from coffee beans, tea leaves and cocoa. It stimulates our brain, gives a boost of energy and makes us alert. It also has an analgesic action. A combination of these active ingredients is highly effective and provides quick relief from the pain.

Side effects of Saridon tablet:

Saridon tablet may cause side effects nausea, abdominal pain, skin rashes and heart palpitations although not everybody gets them. If you experience Check with your healthcare professional if you notice any unusual effects while you are taking it.

How to manage side effects:


Drink clear or ice-cold drinks. Eat light, bland foods (such as saltine crackers or plain bread). Avoid fried, greasy, or sweet foods. Eat slowly and eat smaller, more frequent meals.

Abdominal pain:

Place a hot water bottle or heated wheat bag on your abdomen. Soak in a warm bath. Drink plenty of clear fluids.

Safety Advice:

  • Take 1 tablet every 3-4 hours.
  • Do not exceed 3 tablets a day.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
  • It should be used with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before taking.
  • It is not recommended for children younger than 12 years. Consult your doctor for advice.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver, kidney problems, gilbert's syndrome, hematopoietic dysfunction, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, suffering from any illness or have suffered from any illness recently.


Tell your doctor if you take:

  • any paracetamol containing medicines, including prescription and non-prescription medicines and herbal supplements
  • carbamazepine (epilepsy), phenytoin (seizures), medicines containing sodium nitrite, leflunomide (rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis) and local anaesthetics like prilocaine

Is it safe to drive while administering Saridon tablet?

It is known to cause symptoms such as drowsiness or dizziness in a few patients. In case a patient experiences such symptoms, it may not be safe to drive after using this tablet.

Is it safe to breastfeed while administering Saridon tablet?

No, consumption of this tablet is not advised for breastfeeding women as it contains caffeine which may pass through the milk and affect baby’s health. A breastfeeding woman must only consume medicine only on the advice of a doctor.

Can Saridon Tablet be administered along with antibiotics?

It is not advisable to administer along with antibiotics as they may cause severe side effects. It is recommended to consult a doctor before co-administering medicines in order to avoid the occurrence of adverse effects.

Is Saridon tablet safe for use by pregnant females?

The medicine is not deemed safe for use by pregnant females as it is known to cause an adverse effect on the developing fetus. A doctor must be consulted before starting a dose of this medicine for specific instructions and appropriate dosage warnings.

Is Saridon tablet addictive in nature?
