What REXIDIN is used for?

It is used to:

  • treat and prevent gum disease (gums may bleed when brushed)
  • promote gum healing after dental surgery or treatment
  • control mouth ulcers
  • maintain mouth hygiene
  • manage oral thrush and denture sores

Tell your doctor about all the medicines you use, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, and herbal supplements.

  • Always take this mouthwash exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Fill the cap to the 10ml line
  • Rinse mouth thoroughly for 1 minute then spit out
  • For denture sore mouth: clean and soak your dentures in mouthwash for 15 minutes twice a day

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Very Rare
  • irritation of the mouth
  • soreness or swelling of the inside of the cheeks
  • temporary staining of the tongue or teeth
  • burning sensation
  • peeling of the skin inside the mouth
  • allergic reactions: rash, swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or face or have difficulty in breathing
