INTRODUCTION

REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION contains Nandrolone which belongs to the group of medicines called Anabolic steroids. It is used to treat osteoporosis in post-menopausal women, certain types of anemia, breast cancer (in women). It can also be used to treat patients on long-term corticosteroids.

Osteoporosis is a medical condition that makes the bones thin and weak. It usually occurs in women after menopause when there is reduced production of estrogen in the body. Anemia is a condition in which there is a lack of enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to the body's tissues. Breast cancer is a condition where some breast cells begin to grow abnormally.

Your doctor might ask you to take blood tests at regular intervals to check the oxygen-carrying substance in your red blood cells (haemoglobin).

Before receiving REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have or ever had breast cancer that has spread to the bones, kidney or lung cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy, or migraine.

REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in children below 3 years of age. Consult your doctor before receiving the medicine.

The most common side effects of receiving REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION is swelling of legs. Contact your doctor if any of the above side effects worsen or persist for a long duration.

USES OF REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION

It is used to treat:

• osteoporosis (in post-menopausal women)
• certain types of anemia
• breast cancer (in women)
• patients on long-term corticosteroids

HOW REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION WORKS

REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION works by rebuilding tissues that have become weak because of continuing illness or serious injury. It can thus increase bone mass and stimulate the formation of red blood cells in the bone marrow.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION will be administered only by a doctor or a nurse deeply into a muscle (in the buttock, upper leg, or upper arm region). Your physician will administer the correct dose and duration for you according to your age, body weight, and disease condition.

SIDE EFFECTS OF REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Nausea:

Take regular sips of a cold drink. Have ginger or peppermint tea. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy foods. If you still feel nauseous, contact your doctor.

PREGNANCY

REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before receiving the medicine.

BREASTFEEDING

REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before receiving the medicine.

DRIVING AND USING MACHINES

REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION has no effect on your ability to drive and use machines. Consult your doctor for advice.

ALCOHOL

It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION. Consult your doctor for advice.

KIDNEY

REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Contact your doctor before receiving it.

LIVER

REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Contact your doctor before receiving it.

ALLERGY

Do not receive REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION if you are allergic to Nandrolone, peanuts, soya or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

HEART DISEASE

REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with high blood pressure or any other heart disease. Contact your doctor before receiving it.

INTERACTIONS

A. Drug-Drug interactions:

Before receiving REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:

• medicines used to treat diabetes (Ex. insulin, glimepiride, metformin)
• erythropoietin (used to treat anemia)
• medicines used to reduce the clotting of the blood (Ex. warfarin, rivaroxaban)

Overdosage:

REVIDEC 25MG INJECTION will be administered to you only by a doctor or a nurse in a hospital, and so it is unlikely to receive an overdose. Contact your doctor or nurse if you experience any unusual reactions.
