A. RABIZA 20 TABLET is used to treat Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), peptic ulcer and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (tumours in the pancreas causing the stomach to secrete more acid).
Q. How RABIZA 20 TABLET works?
A. RABIZA 20 TABLET is a proton pump inhibitor. It reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach by blocking the actions of an enzyme called H+ K+ ATPase (also known as proton pump) which is present in the lining of the stomach walls. As a result, it reduces the chances for acid reflux into the oesophagus, heals peptic ulcers and esophageal lesions and prevents its recurrence.
Q. How long will it take for RABIZA 20 TABLET to cure my disease?
A. The time taken for healing depends on the severity of the disease. You may notice improvement in your condition within 1-2 days of therapy with RABIZA 20 TABLET. However, it may take several weeks for RABIZA 20 TABLET to completely heal the ulcers.
Q. When should I take RABIZA 20 TABLET?
A. RABIZA 20 TABLET should be taken on an empty stomach at mornings. It can also be taken before a meal. Swallow RABIZA 20 TABLET with a glass of water.
Q. What are the long-term side effects of RABIZA 20 TABLET?
A. Taking RABIZA 20 TABLET especially over the time of a year can slightly increase the risk of hip, wrist, or spine fracture. Inform your doctor if you suffer from osteoporosis or if you are taking corticosteroids which can increase the risk of osteoporosis. It may also cause vitamin B12 deficiency and low magnesium levels in the blood.

A. Do not stop taking RABIZA 20 TABLET without consulting your doctor even if you feel better during the midway of the therapy. Make sure to take RABIZA 20 TABLET for the stipulated duration recommended by your doctor to achieve complete healing of ulcers.

A. RABIZA 20 TABLET should be taken while you are on empty stomach in the morning. It can also be taken before a meal.
Q. What to do if I forgot to take a dose of RABIZA 20 TABLET?
A. If you have missed a dose of RABIZA 20 TABLET, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is time for the next dose of RABIZA 20 TABLET, skip the missed dose and take the next one regularly. Do not take a double dose of RABIZA 20 TABLET to compensate the missed ones.

A. Before taking RABIZA 20 TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have vitamin B12 deficiency, osteoporosis or any tumors in your stomach.
