INTRODUCTION

POWERGESIC TRANSDERMAL 100MG contains Diclofenac which belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is indicated to treat for the local symptomatic and short term treatment of pain associated with acute strains, sprains or bruises on the arms and legs as a result of injuries for example like sports injuries. It works by stopping the body's production of a substance which causes pain. Diclofenac sodium is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory with analgesic properties. It has to be applied to intact skin which provides local analgesia by releasing diclofenac from the patch into the skin.
