NEBRACIN EYE/SKIN OINTMENT contains tobramycin which is used to treat bacterial infections of the external part of the eye, such as conjunctivitis which is the infection of the transparent membrane (conjunctiva) that lines the eyelid and covers the white part of your eyeball characterized by pain, discomfort, redness, itching, irritation and watering of the eyes.
How does NEBRACIN EYE/SKIN OINTMENT works?
NEBRACIN EYE/SKIN OINTMENT effectively works against the disease-causing bacteria by binding irreversibly to one of two amino glycoside binding sites on the 30 S ribosomal subunit of bacteria thereby terminating the bacterial growth.
How to use NEBRACIN EYE/SKIN OINTMENT?
Always use NEBRACIN EYE/SKIN OINTMENT exactly as directed by your physician. It is for ophthalmic use only. Apply the medicine into the affected eye 1 to 2 times a day or as directed by the physician. Your doctor will administer the right dose depends on your age, body weight and disease condition.
Does NEBRACIN EYE/SKIN OINTMENT cause eye irritation?
Yes, it may cause itching and burning sensation of eye in some patients. Close your eyes and relax for some time to reduce irritation. Place an ice pack over the eyes for few minutes. Avoid watching mobile phone, system, laptop or any other light sources which might irritate your eyes. If the symptom persists or worsens, contact your doctor.
