  • Community Acquired Pneumonia
  • Skin and Skin Structure Infections
  • Complicated Intra-Abdominal Infections
  • Plague
  • Acute Bacterial Sinusitis
  • Acute Bacterial Exacerbation of Chronic Bronchitis

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

  • have ever had a severe allergic reaction to an antibiotic known as a fluoroquinolone, or if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medicine
  • have tendon problems, rheumatoid arthritis (RA) or other history of joint problems
  • have a disease that causes muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis)
  • have central nervous system problems (such as epilepsy)
  • are suffering from Peripheral neuropathy
  • have or anyone in your family has an irregular heartbeat, especially a condition called “QT prolongation”
  • have low blood potassium (hypokalemia)
  • have kidney problems
  • have diabetes or problems with low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)

  • Pain killers such as diclofenac, paracetamol
  • blood thinner (warfarin)
  • medicine to control your heart rate or rhythm (antiarrhythmic)

  • oral anti-diabetes medicine or insulin
  • erythromycin
  • water pill (diuretic)
  • steroid medicines since corticosteroids taken by mouth or by injection may increase the chance of tendon injury
  • antacids,multivitamins or other product that has magnesium, aluminum, iron, or zinc
  • sucralfate
  • didanosine oral suspension or solution
