What is MOXIF Injection used for?

MOXIF Injection tablet/injection is used for the treatment of different bacterial infections of the skin, sinuses, lung and stomach.

MOXIF Injection eye drops are used for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis.

MOXIF Injection ear drops are used to treat bacterial infections of the ear.

MOXIF Injection may also be prescribed for other conditions as determined by the doctor.

How does MOXIF Injection work?

MOXIF Injection belongs to the class of drugs called as the fluoroquinolone antibiotics. This drug works by killing the bacteria and by inhibiting the bacterial cell division.

How to use MOXIF Injection ?

The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Use MOXIF Injection as prescribed by your doctor.

  • Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Take the drug with or without food. However, taking the drug with food prevents stomach upset.
  • MOXIF Injection injection should be administered only under medical supervision.
  • Instill one or two drops of MOXIF Injection eye drops into the conjunctival sac of the eye and close your eyes for at least 10 minutes. Do not allow the container tip to touch the eye or surrounding tissue.
  • Instill the correct number of drops into the ear and remain lying down for 10 to 15 minutes.

If you miss a dose of MOXIF Injection , please use it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not use a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
