Milical O D3 tablet is used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels, treats vitamin D and calcium deficiencies and treat conditions caused low calcium levels such as bone loss (osteoporosis), weak bones (osteomalacia/rickets).
Calcium is essential for functioning of nerve, muscles, cells and bone strength. If there is calcium deficiency in the blood the body will take calcium from bones, thereby weakening bones. Hence intake of calcium is necessary to keep the bones strong. Vitamin D3 increases the absorption of calcium and phosphorous from the intestine. It is crucial for bone strength. Inadequate vitamin D in our body may lead to fractures, muscle pain, weakness.

How to manage side effects:
Eat more high-fibre foods such as fresh fruit, vegetables and cereals, and drink plenty of water. Try to exercise more regularly, for example, by going for a daily walk or run.
Nausea and stomach pain:
Try taking this tablet with, or just after, a meal or snack. Stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy food. If you're being sick, try small frequent sips of water to avoid dehydration.
Drink lots of fluids, such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration. Reducing your dose of lactulose may also help diarrhoea. Do not take any other medicines to treat diarrhoea without speaking to a doctor.
