INTRODUCTION

LUBRIFRESH EYE DROPS contains Carboxymethylcellulose, which belongs to the group of medicines called Topical ophthalmic lubricants. It is used to treat dryness of the eye due to exposure to wind or sun and following a laser or cataract eye surgery. It is also used to protect the eyes from further irritation. The symptoms may include discomfort, irritation, burning and foreign body sensation in the eye etc.

Before using LUBRIFRESH EYE DROPS inform your doctor if you wear contact lenses as it is not recommended for use while using this medicine. The associated risks and benefits of using LUBRIFRESH EYE DROPS in children, pregnant and breastfeeding women are unclear.

The most common side effects of LUBRIFRESH EYE DROPS include stinging, burning, irritation or itching sensation of the eye, blurring of vision, etc. Consult your doctor immediately or visit a nearby hospital if any of the symptoms worsen.

USES OF LUBRIFRESH EYE DROPS

LUBRIFRESH EYE DROPS is used to treat allergic and inflammatory conditions of the eye such as

HOW LUBRIFRESH EYE DROPS WORKS

LUBRIFRESH EYE DROPS works as a lubricant and moisturizer that maintains the water balance of the eye similar to natural tears. As a result, it relieves the symptoms of eye dryness.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Always use LUBRIFRESH EYE DROPS as advised by your doctor. It is for ophthalmic use only. Instill a few drops of the medicine into the eye as advised by your doctor.

SIDE EFFECTS OF LUBRIFRESH EYE DROPS

COMMON

  • stinging or burning sensation of the eye
  • irritation  of the eye
  • impaired or blurring of vision

RARE

Stop taking LUBRIFRESH EYE DROPS and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

  • severe allergic reactions
  • eye pain, impaired vision
  • worsening or severe redness or irritation of the eye

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Eye irritation:

Apply a cold compress to the affected area. A cool compress applied to your closed eyes several times a day will help lessen redness and swelling.
