What LANZOL 30MG is used for?

 It is used,

  • for healing and symptom relief of duodenal and stomach ulcers
  • to treat heartburn and other symptoms that happen with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
  • to treat conditions where your stomach makes too much acid. This includes a rare condition called Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

  • have low magnesium or vitamin B12 levels in your blood
  • have liver problems
  • have phenylketonuria
  • LANZOL 30MG may harm your unborn baby
  • It is not known if LANZOL 30MG passes into your breast milk
  • Talk to your doctor before taking LANZOL 30MG, if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding
  • LANZOL 30MG can be used in children and adolescents. Consult your doctor before giving this medicine to children


Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take, including:

  • medicines such as methotrexate, tacrolimus
  • anti-retroviral drugs (e.g., rilpivirine, atazanavir and nelfinavir)
  • blood thinners such as warfarin
  • medicines used to treat heart problems such as digoxin
  • medicine that dependent on gastric pH for absorption (e.g., iron salts, erlotinib, dasatinib, nilotinib, mycophenolate mofetil, ketoconazole/itraconazole)
  • certain antibiotics such as clarithromycin and amoxicillin
  • Take LANZOL 30MG exactly as prescribed by your doctor
  • Do not change your dose of LANZOL 30MG without talking to your doctor
  • Take LANZOL 30MG before meals
  • Swallow this medicine whole
  • Do not crush or chew this medicine

If you take more LANZOL 30MG

  • Contact your doctor immediately if you take more LANZOL 30MG

If you forget to take LANZOL 30MG

  • If you miss a dose of LANZOL 30MG, take it as soon as you remember
  • If it is almost time for your next dose, do not take the missed dose

If you stop taking LANZOL 30MG

  • Consult with your doctor before stop taking this medicine
Very Rare

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

  • low vitamin B12 levels marked by shortness of breath, lightheadedness, irregular heartbeat, muscle weakness, pale skin, feeling tired, mood changes and tingling or numbness in the arms and legs
  • low magnesium levels marked by seizures, dizziness, irregular heartbeat, jitteriness, muscle aches or weakness and spasms of hands, feet
  • stomach polyps (fundic gland polyps)
  • diarrhea
  • stomach-area (abdomen) pain
  • nausea and constipation
