Introduction About ITROMAX OC CREAM
ITROMAX OC CREAM is a combination of Clobetasol, Itraconazole, Ofloxacin and Ornidazole which belongs to a group of medicines known as Corticosteroids, Antifungals, Antibiotics and Antibacterial. It is used to manage bacterial, fungal infections, skin infections such as dermatitis, inflammatory dermatomes (inflammation of skin region which is related to nerves, and it is characterised by pain, tingling sensation) and lichen planus (irritation and swelling of hair, nails, skin and mucous membranes).
Skin infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungus, and parasites which is characterised by redness, rashes, itchiness, burning sensation, pain, fever, pus or fluid filled blisters, swelling or inflammation. ITROMAX OC CREAM should be used with caution in patients having liver and kidney disease. Consult your doctor for advice before using.
If you are a pregnant or breast-feeding woman, ask your doctor for advice before using ITROMAX OC CREAM. There are limited studies on the use of ITROMAX OC CREAM in children. Consult with your physician before using. The most common side effects of ITROMAX OC CREAM are itching, and application site reactions such as burning sensation, redness, or irritation. Consult your doctor if the side effects worsen or persists for a longer duration.

How ITROMAX OC CREAM Works
ITROMAX OC CREAM works effectively against infections where Clobetasol acts by inhibiting the migration of macrophages and leukocytes (white blood cells responsible for causing redness and swelling) into the affected site. Ofloxacin acts against the bacteria. Ornidazole works by inhibiting the protein synthesis necessary for the bacterial growth thereby destroying the bacteria. Itraconazole works by inhibiting the fungal growth by blocking the synthesis of ergosterol, which is necessary for the structure and function of fungal cell membrane.
How to use ITROMAX OC CREAM
Use ITROMAX OC CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Wash and pat dry the affected area. Apply a thin layer of ITROMAX OC CREAM to the affected areas and rub it into the skin until it vanishes. Your doctor will decide the right dose depends on your age, body weight and severity of the infection.

ITROMAX OC CREAM is not recommended for use if you:
- Have inflammation of hair follicles or acne
- Have rosacea
- Skin itchiness
- Have red rash around the mouth (perioral dermatitis)
- Have extensive plaque psoriasis, excluding single lesions
Before using ITROMAX OC CREAM inform your doctor if you:
- Have bone pain or worsening of previous bone symptoms
- Have broken or damaged skin or within skin folds
- Have long term leg ulcer
- Have diabetes
- Have chicken pox
Interactions
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before using ITROMAX OC CREAM inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:
- Ritonavir (medicine used to manage HIV infection)
B. Drug-Food interaction:
Avoid consuming milk and dairy products while using ITROMAX OC CREAM as it may increase the risk of side effects.
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally applies too much of ITROMAX OC CREAM, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
