How FIXICAN DX TABLET work?
FIXICAN DX TABLET helps to treat bacterial infections, where Cefixime and Dicloxacillin belongs to cephalosporin and penicillin antibiotics respectively. They, works by binding to penicillin-binding proteins, located inside the bacterial cell walls (which are responsible for the formation of bacterial cell wall) and inhibit the synthesis of bacterial cell wall, leading to bacterial cell death.
Who should avoid taking FIXICAN DX TABLET?
FIXICAN DX TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with allergic history to Cefixime, Dicloxacillin, or to Beta lactam antibiotics like cephalosporins, penicillins or cephamycins, in breast feeding women and in children under 10 years of age. Contact your doctor before taking.
Can I use FIXICAN DX TABLET to treat cold?
No. FIXICAN DX TABLET is not used to treat viral infections like common cold. Contact your doctor before taking.
For what conditions FIXICAN DX TABLET is used?
FIXICAN DX TABLET is used to treat bacterial infections such as ear (otitis media), nose (sinusitis), throat (tonsillitis, pharyngitis), chest and lung infections such as (bronchitis, pneumonia), uncomplicated urinary tract infections such as cystitis and kidney infections and uncomplicated gonorrhoea (cervical/urethral infections). Yes. FIXICAN DX TABLET may cause fits. Stop taking FIXICAN DX TABLET and contact your doctor if you have unusual symptoms like fits.
